In addition to presenting us with eye-catching collabs in recent months (several articles on this site), NIKE celebrates the 35 years of the Air Max 1 through special editions. After the « Dirty Denim » and « Ironstone » versions released recently, the Swoosh brand unveils an elegant « Ale Brown ».
This AM1 ’87 is made of high quality materials and sports a special look inspired by street shoes.
The pair designed by the great Tinker Hatfield opts for a monochromatic aesthetic with a design that revolves around changing textures. It consists of a brown dyed upper in a combination of suede, leather and mesh. The overlay on the toe box and side Swoosh are dressed in different leather in the reptilian theme. Luxurious details ensure the pair’s premium look, such as metal gold top eyelets and aglets, engraved leather tongue tags and waxed laces. The whole is based on a brown shoe-inspired midsole with raised edges and stitching that wraps around the foot, as well as a tonal gum outsole.
The Nike Air Max 1 ’87 « Ale Brown » will be released on October 7, 2022 at select retailers and on nike.com, for a price tag around $160.
