The American giant Nike unveils a new version of the Air Huarache. After an iteration « Praline » released last November (article available HERE), the thirty-year-old model pays tribute to the classic sneaker ACG Mowabb and appears in the iconic colorway « Rattan Birch ».
In 2007, the Swoosh brand launched the iconic Air Huarache « Mowabb » pack inspired by the famous outdoor silhouette imagined by the great Tinker Hatfield after a stint in the Moab Desert in the state of Utah. 15 years later, Nike dresses the Air Huarache in the famous « Rattan Birch » colorway.
The shoe consists of a blue and orange neoprene upper, paired with perforated beige nubuck on the toe box and tonal leather overlays. To complete the design, the TPU heel cage and iconic circular tongue patch are presented in black. The insole features orange ACG-style « Air Huarache » branding and the white midsole sports a speckled effect. The look is harmoniously finished with a black outsole.
The Nike Air Huarache Mowabb « Rattan Birch » will be released on May 20, 2022, at select retailers and nike.com for $120. Don’t sleep !
