[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]The AIR FORCE 1 Low, designed by Bruce Kilgore almost 40 years ago, is undeniably an iconic pair from the Swoosh’s brand. This model has been available in a thousand colorways and has served as the basis for many unforgettable collaborations.
Today, in order to celebrate « Puerto Rico Day », the Nike teams have decided to bring out the Air Force 1 « Puerto Rico ».
Due to the restrictions caused by COVID-19, it’s very likely that the « Puerto Rico Day » parade will be compromised and will not be able to take place in the streets of New York City as it does every year. Even so, the pair will be back to commemorate the large Puerto Rican community.
The edition presented in 2005 was a great success. For its 15th anniversary, the pair returns with some changes. It remains dressed in the colors of the Puerto Rican flag : white, navy blue and red, but these shades are sometimes placed differently on the sneaker of 2020. We find a white leather upper, perforated on the toe box and smooth on the rest of the shoe. In terms of changes, the side swoosh now appears in True White and the inner lining is in navy blue. The national flag is still placed on the heel as well as on the tongue. On this pair with an understated and elegant look, we discover a small Swoosh embroidered with blue thread under the white laces and the nike branding appears in red on the heel tab. To complete the neat side of the shoe, the whole is based on a white midsole with a stitching of the same colour and the mention AIR appearing in navy blue. The latter colour is used to cover the outsole, thus completing the matching.
The NIKE AIR FORCE 1 LOW « Puerto Rico » will be available online from June 1st, 2020 on the German retailer’s website www.43einhalb.com for 130€ and in sizes ranging from EU 38.5 to EU 48.5.
