A few weeks ago, I told you about the return of the famous Air Force 1 « West Indies » in an article (available HERE). In 2002, the popular AF1 « West Indies » OG was designed to celebrate the annual West Indian Day Parade in Crown Heights, Brooklyn New York. For 4 years, until 2005, 3 other special editions were offered. Each of these versions was a big hit with sneakerheads who appreciate Caribbean culture and warm designs.
Having had the opportunity to buy it, I suggest you to discover it in pictures on my feet.
The shoe features a white leather upper with matching overlays, including the side Swoosh. The look is enhanced by green elements, such as the inner lining, tongue contour, heel tab and outsole. Green/yellow/red « West Indies » embroidery adorns the side heel. Special tongue and heel branding details are applied in yellow. A white midsole harmoniously finalizes the design.
The reissue is quite successful. I couldn’t get it at the time of its release, and a friend gave me the 2002 model as a gift 4 or 5 years ago. So here I am, finally being able to proudly wear this famous AF1 branded with the famous « West Indies » where I come from. Generally speaking, the quality is correct. You will have understood, I validate in 100% this reissue.
