The American giant Nike continues to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the legendary AIR FORCE 1 with eye-catching collabs and exclusive editions. In addition to the AF1 High Vintage and AF1 Low « Be kind » (articles available on this site), a Low version paying tribute to the city of Los Angeles has just surfaced.
In honor of the City of Angels, the cult AF1 silhouette sports a fresh hippie moccasin look.
The shoe features an upper made from a mix of materials in shades of beige and off-white. We discover a combination of canvas, leather, crochet and quilted nylon. The overlays are adorned with white cross stitching and details of small orange flowers are embroidered on different parts of the upper. To complete the design, blue accents appear on the side Swoosh, Nike Air branding on the heel tab and the tongue tag featuring « Anniversary Edition » in orange. The design inspiration is affirmed by a flower illustration and the name of the city of Los Angeles on the insole. The whole is based on an all-white sole that harmoniously completes the look.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low « Los Angeles » will be released soon at selected retailers and on nike.com, for a price around 110$. More info to come, stay tuned !
