On March 11, 2020, the NBA announced the suspension of the rest of the season due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Long months passed and on August 17, the return of the playoffs was official. In order to celebrate this event, the equipment manufacturer Nike has reworked the emblematic Air Force 1 silhouette and presents us with a pack composed of 2 High iterations in two colorways.
This basketball high shoe, which has become a lifestyle sneaker over the years, is offered in two versions, white and mint green. Modifications have been made to its original construction in order to highlight the characteristics of NBA players.
It features a monochrome leather upper with a black strap at the ankle to ensure optimal support. The tone-on-tone side swoosh has a gold metal addition, a nod to the jewelry that basketball players can’t wear on the playground. A heel reinforcement and coupled brandings on the ankle strap and tongue label complete the design. The tongue, laces and inner lining in the same color as the vamp harmonize the efficient and elegant look of the pair. The whole is based on a white midsole combined with a rubber outsole.
Both colors of the Nike Air Force 1 High « NBA pack » will be available in the coming weeks on Nike.com and at selected retailers. The price should be around 120€ per pair.
