Nike Air Force 1 Crater Foam
Nike continues its ecological approach « Move to Zero » and presents another version of Air Force 1 Low equipped with recycled materials, like the Space Hippie collection. The cult silhouette designed by Bruce Kilgore has been reworked in depth and is aimed exclusively at women. Over the past week, three colorways have been presented. The inaugural pair was unveiled in « Pure Platinum / Barely Volt/ Summit White », then a wise offer « Summit White » and today we discover the elegant « Black / Photon Dust ».
These three iterations consist of a separate upper in two colours.
The construction is new, without overlays, the sections are assembled with zig-zag seams, emphasizing the idea of recycling and « reconstruction ». The front of the foot is made of semi-translucent material in a shade of blue, depending on the pair, revealing small coloured spots. The side panels and the back of the foot are dressed in a more classic way, with smooth and plain materials. Grey for the inaugural pair, white for the « Summit White » and black for the « Black/Photon Dust ». On the last two iterations, the side Swoosh is subtly distinguished in tone-on-tone, while on the first pair it’s covered in the bold Barely Volt colour. The tongue and laces merge into the upper, and are adorned with the colour of the back of the foot, highlighting the new and original design of the front part of the shoe. We also find an insole made from recycled material, the line’s signature. The whole is based on the now recognizable Crater Foam midsole made from recycled materials, combined with the Nike Grind speckled rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Force 1 Crater Foam « Barely Volt/ Summit White », « Summit White » and « Black / Photon Dust » Women exclusive, will be available before the end of 2020 at selected retailers and on Nike.com for a suggested retail price of 110€.
