Nike Adapt Auto Max « Triple Black »

Exclusively unveiled at Air Max Day 2020, the futuristic, auto-lacing Nike Adapt Auto Max silhouette has since been released in a variety of colorways, including sober shades with bold touches of color such as the iconic Infrared, Volt or Fluorescent Orange (articles available on this site). Today, the Swoosh brand presents an iteration of « Triple Black ». This monochrome construction, highly prized by sneakerheads, highlights the technological innovation that this shoe benefits from.

This silhouette is the futuristic vision of OG running shoes and legendary Tinker Hatfield designs. It’s inspired by cult models such as the AM 90 and the famous Air Mag. The shoe features a small engine integrated into the thick midsole. This Nike FitAdapt technology allows you to customize the lacing adjustment and to control it via a smartphone app, from a smartwatch or simply thanks to the sole buttons that light up in custom colors when activated.

The sneaker features a lightweight and breathable neoprene upper in anthracite black that adapts to the shape of the foot for maximum comfort. The Swoosh and Air logos appear in glossy black, adding a touch of elegance to the pair. The tongue, heel and inner lining are designed in deep black. We find an Air unit under the heel, a nod to the Air Max heritage, complemented by an elongated heel reinforcement for the final avant-garde touch. A heel strap with reflective details and white graphics on the black insole finalize the design.

The Nike Adapt Auto Max « Triple Black », now available in China, is expected to arrive soon at selected retailers worldwide and on Nike.com, for a price of 400€. Stay tuned !
