Jordan Brand continues to partner with renowned athletes to reinvent its classic silhouettes. While NBA basketball player Zion Williamson recently brought his touch to the Air Jordan 1 Low, BMX star Nigel Sylvester has reimagined Michael Jordan’s first signature shoe for the second time in a High version.
This special edition marks the 2nd collaboration between the 2 partners. It follows the AJ1 High « White » with a worn look released in 2018.
The professional athlete was spotted wearing this new « Black » version of AJ1 High OG at an event in New York to promote the release of his book titled « GO ».
Sporting an aged and distressed look, like the previous collab, the bball consists of a black used leather upper, complemented by tonal overlays and a yellowed white leather side Swoosh. To confirm the style, the tongue, laces, mini Swoosh added on the mudguard and midsole also appear in yellowed white. A nice touch of originality is provided by the rubber outsole in dark red.
The Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 1 High OG « Black » is expected to be released soon at select retailers and on nike.com. For the latest official info, stay tuned !
