The American brand CAT continues to enrich its footwear range by working on models combining heritage and modernity. For this new season, the workwear brand has teamed up with the famous British fashion designer very famous in Japan, Nigel Cabourn, to design 2 mixed silhouettes : the Utah and the Omaha.
Far from fashion trends, Nigel Cabourn has been working for over 50 years to produce pieces inspired by stories involving real people and honoring military, outdoor and vintage clothing. Each collection aims to create timeless, high-end styles that have the quality to last, improve with age and wear, and remain relevant for years to come. This vision of fashion and apparel is shared by CAT footwear. Since 1994, the world’s largest construction equipment manufacturer CATERPILLAR Inc. has enabled Wolverine World Wide to produce CAT-branded footwear that is functional, rugged and comfortable, but also trendy and lifestyle friendly.
Nigel Cabourn has teamed up with CAT to create two new models of the famous workwear brand, the Utah and the Omaha. These unisex boots have an eye-catching luxury-utility look.
The Utah seems to be a reworked and modernized version of the iconic Holton boot. It’s presented to us in 2 colorways : Olive/Camo/Black and Beige/Light Brown. The British designer added textured suede on the panels and toe box, a protective steel toe and a sturdy overlay around the bottom of the foot. To make a style statement, this silhouette features military-style pull-tabs and laces.
The Omaha appears as a combination of CAT’s US Navy boots and Nigel Cabourn’s personal style. Available in black or beige/brown/black, this boot has a vintage look reminiscent of 1940s style. It features rugged canvas, a protective overlay on the bottom of the foot and a grooved black rubber toe cap that promises durability and comfort. Like the Utah, this model has details from retro military footwear. A thick, notched sole adds the finishing touch to the design.
The Nigel Cabourn x CAT Utah and Omaha will be released on November 15, 2022 in stores and online at catfootwear.com. Prices are set at $170 for the Utah and $145 for the Omaha, sizes ranging from US4 to US11. Be ready !
