New Balance 2002R Mule

Just like Nike, Reebok or Vans (articles available on this site), New Balance will allow us to spend the summer days with a stylish and comfortable mule. For this new project, the Boston-based brand has chosen to modify its trendy 2002R silhouette.

This isn’t the first time New Balance has converted its premium running shoes into comfortable mules. The 990v3 and 801 have already received this treatment in the past.

The NB model of the moment has a new look with a cut-out heel. To give a harmonious aesthetic to this 2002R Mule, the tongue has been removed as well as the lacing system. As for the upper, it’s composed of a combination of suede and mesh, as on the classic 2002R models.

Presented in signature grey, beige or black, these exclusive editions are complemented by reflective 3M elements, such as overlays on the toe box and the iconic side N logo. Comfort is optimized by a thick grey inner lining and insole. The whole is based on a white midsole equipped with N-ERGY and ABZORB technologies, coupled with a black rubber outsole.

The New Balance 2002R Mule is expected to be released in the coming weeks at select retailers and on newbalance.com. For the latest official details, stay tuned !
