The retailer and the equipment manufacturer are long time partners, this new drop underlines their common aesthetic sensibility.
The 2002R silhouette features a popular « dad shoe » shape and combines all of New Balance’s technical features.
It consists of a mesh upper with suede overlays. The N logo on the side, the model name « 2002R » on the bottom of the ankle and the small N embroidered on the bottom of the laceguard assert the attention to branding details. The whole is based on a comfortable, high-performance ABZORB midsole with ABZORB SBS heel cushioning, coupled with a shock-absorbing N-ergy outsole.
The exclusive J.Crew colorways are split between an understated and bold look.
For the first category, the sneaker comes in « Black/Powder Green » in black with a touch of bright green, « Night Tide/Au Lat » combining dark purple and midnight blue with minimal beige elements, and « Silver Metallic/Team Red » which reinforces the retro look with the combination of white, metallic silver and bright red accents.
The second category features flashy colors such as « Sulphur Yellow/Silver Metallic » which is a predominantly bright yellow base with metallic silver accents, « Rain Cloud/Prisim Purple » which combines grey with purple and fuchsia pink elements, and finally the seductive « Encens/Heliotrope » which enhances timeless beige with purple or turquoise accents.
