Thanks to memorable collabs and efforts to modernize its models, the famous brand NEW BALANCE has been successful again in recent years. The 2002R silhouette is one of the most revamped and popular in the NB catalog. It’s now offered in an iconic grey colorway and with special tooling.
Contrary to the classic versions, this new NB 2002R has a rather utilitarian style.
It consists of an upper combining ripstop nylon with brushed nubuck in shades of grey and a white part on the toe box. These technical materials replace the traditional mesh/suede combination. To make the design statement, the pair is adorned with thick round laces and reflective details on the toe box inserts and the iconic N logo on the side. The highlight of this 2002R is the grey, zippered, New Balance-branded pouch added above the tongue and hooking onto the laces. The whole is based on a grey and beige N-ERGY midsole, coupled with a black rubber outsole that harmoniously finishes the look.
The New Balance 2002R Grey « Pouch » was released in Asia and in select parts of the Pacific during July 2022. The pair arrived in other parts of the world on September 7, 2022.
