This year 2021, June 6 to be exact, marks 75 years of the world’s premier basketball league, the NBA (National Basketball Association). To celebrate this diamond anniversary, the reference equipment manufacturer NIKE has designed an NBA x Dunk Low EMB « 75th Anniversary » duo.
According to mock-ups released in April, these versions are adorned with a color palette that can refer to 2 great franchises : the Chicago Bulls and the New York Knicks.
A first glimpse of the « Bulls » version has been revealed.
The shoe, made of leather, consists of a white base with red overlays on the forefoot and laceguard, complemented by black overlays on the back and side Swoosh. The black color is also found on the inner lining, heel tab and laces. To affirm the 75th anniversary tribute, the white nylon tongue is adorned with a commemorative label and a diamond is engraved on the silver dubrae. A white midsole combined with a red outsole finalizes the design.
This NBA x Nike Dunk Low EMB « 75th Anniversary » is expected to be released alongside the other colorway during October 2021, priced at 110$ per pair. The duo will be available at select retailers and on nike.com. We’ll keep you posted on the latest details, stay tuned !
