Earlier this year, New Balance’s new silhouette, the 9060, appeared revisited by rising fashion brand MOWALOLA at Paris Fashion Week. Released on November 11, 2022 exclusively on the website of the label founded by the Nigerian designer Mowalola Ogunlesi, this collaboration named « Burglarwear » will be launched globally soon.
The NB 9060 reinterpreted by the London-based fashion brand is the first ever collaboration between New Balance and Mowalola.
This shoe is offered in 2 colorways : black/turquoise/pink and black/purple/yellow.
It’s composed of a black mesh base, complemented by smooth leather overlays. The 1st version is adorned with bright turquoise overlays, while on the 2nd, they appear in purple blue. The side N logo is covered with a translucent material adding a 3D effect and the laces have a twisted look. The laces can add a touch of color with the yellow and water green variations that come with the pair. The tongue and heel are adorned with a special logo that affirms the collab. To complete the look, the 2 iterations benefit from a small yoke of flashy color, pink or yellow depending on the version, at the level of the famous black midsole “puffed”. The whole is based on a black outsole that elegantly completes the design of Mowalola Ogunlesi.
The Mowalola x New Balance 9060 « Burglarwear » collection will be released worldwide on November 18, 2022 at select retailers and on newbalance.com. The price is set at $180 per pair. Be ready !
