The Japanese brand MOUNTAIN RESEARCH unveils a new collaboration with the equipment manufacturer Reebok. After bringing his touch a few months ago to the silhouette of the Alien Stomper, Setsumasa Kobayshi and his team reinvent the famous Beatnik sandal.
Right now, sandals and other slides are the trend. Although Yeezy and Crocs remain among the most popular, the Beatnik is also seducing a good number of sneakerheads.
This new collaborative offering draws its inspiration from the hiking boots of the early 2000s.
It consists of a brown leather upper, decorated with a Mountain Research flame embroidered with white and yellow thread on the sides of the foot. To complete the look, the Velcro straps and plastic strap with the Japanese brand’s logo are presented in black. The whole is based on a black footbed and a grey notched sole. The Reebok branding can only be seen under the foot.
The Mountain Research x Reebok Beatnik will be released on September 5, 2022 at a price of $130, at selected retailers like Foot District and online at partners reebok.com and sett.co.jp.
