MIZUNO WAVE PROPHECY X HAJIME SORAYAMA

A few weeks ago, I told you in an article (available HERE) about the first collaboration between the Japanese artist Hajime Sorayama and the Japanese brand Mizuno. A project inspired by the robotic universe of this artist who became known around the world with his « Sexy Robots ».

Having had the chance to receive it, I suggest you to discover it in pictures at my feet.

The pair consists of an elegant base in permeable resin of silver and white metallic color. The Run Bird on the side panels appears silver chrome and the heel has a metallic reinforcement adding a robotic look to the shoe. The Sorayama logo is affixed on the inside of the sole and the double name adorns the insole, certification of a Sorayama artwork. To complete the design, the sneaker benefits from the INFINI TY WAVE sole, which combines Mizuno’s structural technologies and evolves them to increase performance. The design of the large transparent air pockets accentuates the hyper futuristic look. A woven collar and matching flat laces on the upper finalize the design.

At first, I couldn’t help but see this shoe only as a work of art. When I put it on my feet, I totally embraced the whole project, appreciating it as an artistic object, but also as a lifestyle one. The quality of materials and finishes are, as often with Mizuno, at the top. So I totally validate this collaboration, whether it’s on our feet or in display at home.

Thanks to Cromatix for the Robot
