After introducing the brand new LeBron XX, the swoosh brand unveils a new collaboration with Ghanaian-born fashion designer Mimi Plange. Just like in 2021, this new opus is based on the Nike LeBron 18 silhouette.
Named « Scarred Perfection » and « Mad King », these special editions follow last year’s « Higher Learning » and « Daughters » colorways.
This next duo of LeBron 18 Low once again celebrates African cultures.
The « Scarred Perfection » pays tribute to body art and evokes tribalism. It consists of an upper covered with embroidery details in white color. This base is complemented by a gold and red side Swoosh with stitching that mimics the embroidery details and by additional inserts in lavender and yellowish green. An aqua tongue and purple laces add flair to the pair. The whole is based on a comfortable, high-performance off-white, yellow-green and white sole.
The « Mad King » is inspired by the Bantu people. Bantu refers to the speakers of a vast linguistic group, over 400 ethnicities, that spans most of central and southern Africa. It has a brown, pink, yellow, blue and orange color palette that symbolizes the earth, the celestial forest and water. The brown and pink stem is complemented by yellow and blue and orange elements. It has different patterns that represent wisdom, unity, greatness and the future. A white, pink and brown sole finalizes the look.
