The Japanese collectible toy company MEDICOM is one of the first outside brands in the sneaker world to partner with the giant NIKE to design amazing sneaker models. This partnership dates back to the early 2000s and has contributed to the growth of NIKE’s SB division, notably by offering limited edition models that are still highly sought-after today and selling at a premium price.
The craze for the Nike SB Dunk Low has reappeared recently with many famous collaborations, one of the most recent being with rapper Travis Scott for example.
For its 8th project with the American equipment manufacturer, Medicom Toy Be@rbrick comes back to bring its touch to this unavoidable model of the moment.
According to the pictures that appeared a few days ago, the Nike SB Dunk Low x Be@rbrick reminds the model from the Nike Air Force 1 “Be@rbrick” pack released almost 10 years ago. Indeed, we find a shoe covered with faux fur : a shiny black upper in “pony hair”, as well as the tone-on-tone swoosh that stands out thanks to the seams that define it. The thick tongue and laces appear in the same colour.
The hell tap in sand colour, covered with “pony hair”, and the lining contrast with the pair.
The Be@rbrick branding is highlighted on the side of the heel, the only element embroidered with white thread on this mostly black shoe.
The whole is based on a white midsole with a black thread stitching, in order to recall the sneaker’s colorway and bring an extra touch of elegance.
The translucent sand-coloured outsole matches perfectly with the other colour used on this pair and finishes to unify this model.
