After the huge success of the 2019 Maison Château Rouge x Air Jordan 1 Mid « Fearless », the Parisian label of Youssouf and Mamadou Fofana collaborates the 2nd time with the American giant to bring its touch to the Air Jordan 2.
Long forgotten, His Airness’ 2nd signature shoe is making a meteoric return this year through high-end collabs, including with the late Virgil Abloh, iconic brands A Ma Manière and Union L.A. and now the promising label Maison Château Rouge.
The Fofana brothers redesign this silhouette in a subtle way, while bringing a touch of signature energy inspired by African craftsmanship. It consists of a white Sail leather upper enhanced by orange inserts at the toe, heel and side trims. Engraved overlays, overlapping eyelets, notched detailing and yellow piping under the ankle with orange stitching add an artisanal touch to the pair. To affirm this attention to detail influence, the top of the tongue has orange stitching, the white laces are dotted with orange and the toe box is striped black/orange/white/yellow. The look is completed with « Maison Chateau Rouge » branding on the heel, « United Youth International » and « Chicago Dakar Paris » internal tongue labels, and brown, white, red and yellow graphic insoles honoring Michael Jordan. The pair features a brown leather inner lining and a white sole with an orange touch under the heel.
This exclusive edition will come with extra sets of laces, orange, brown and yellow, and in a special box.
