After offering us a SB Dunk Low « Club 58 » earlier this year (article available HERE), the Skatebording division of Nike is once again inspired by the automobile for its next collaboration. They’ve enlisted the help of former British fashion designer and car collector Magnus Walker to bring his touch to the Dunk High silhouette.
Magnus Walker transferred the great features of his favorite car, the 1971 Porsche 911 T 277, to the famous SB Dunk High silhouette.
This special edition is dressed in white, blue and red, just like the car it references. It consists of an upper constructed with cracked off-white leather side panels and mudguard, reminiscent of the paint wear of the 1971 race car. The collar is made using matching canvas. The red color is found on the canvas toe box, the edges of the flaps, the back of the foot and the legendary number « 277 » on the side heel. To complete the tribute to this Porsche, the side Swoosh, laces and tongue label are presented in sky blue. Nike branding stands out in Porsche font on the midsole and Magnus Walker’s small Urban Outlaw logo is emblazoned on the side panels. The whole is based on a white midsole, combined with a two-tone red and blue rubber outsole that harmoniously finalizes the design.
