[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]A few weeks ago, adidas offered us a very original collaboration. Indeed, it was with the famous Danish toy company LEGO that they associated through an adidas cult silhouette, the adidas ZX 8000.
I was lucky enough to receive this pair via my friends from Overkill in Germany with the special package including the famous ZX 8000 in lego. The latter is still being assembled having dropped the shoe when I was almost finished…
The shoe is dressed in bright and various colors, in reference of the famous briquettes to be assembled. We find an off-white mesh upper with light beige suede overlays and little black suede inserts. These rather neutral shades highlight the primary colors accents, such as the yellow laces and the red laceguard in the design of a LEGO briquette. Blue color elements appear on the toe of the shoe and the heel clip. The iconic 3 stripes have yellow contours and the inner lining is in black color. A green LEGO brick-style laces dubrae and a red tongue label typical of the Danish gaming brand ensure the design. The whole is based on a yellow midsole and outsole that appears to be semi-translucent with a slight red tint.
I totally valide this collaboration which seems te me really successuf. Whether you like it or not, you can recognize the exceptional work done on this shoe which at first glance makes you thing of LEGO. For me, it’s one of the Adidas of the year 2020.
