The German giant adidas continues its very original partnership with the famous Danish toy brand LEGO. After offering us a ZX 8000 as part of the new adidas A-ZX series (article available HERE), LEGO reimagines the famous Ultraboost DNA silhouette in its very own playful style.
The adidas Ultraboost DNA features an upper made from a blend of textiles and a high-performance recycled material called Primeblue. This base is dressed in white with metallic silver inserts at the toe and side heel counter. A nice touch of contrast is provided by the LEGO signature yellow insole and inner lining, and the red ULTRA BOOST lettering on the heel counter. In order to highlight the playful and creative aspect of LEGO, the iconic adidas 3-stripes on the side are adorned with small buttons to which the legendary colorful bricks can be attached. The toe box is also embellished with this pattern, an additional reference to the famous toy brand. This pair is therefore customizable, thanks to the 36 green, red, blue and yellow LEGO bricks offered with the sneaker. To complete the design, this LEGO brick pattern is found on the co-branded insole. The two brands are also coupled at the tongue. The whole is based on a white Boost midsole, combined with a black Sretchweb Continental outsole that offers superior traction.
The LEGO x adidas Ultraboost DNA will be released on April 8, 2021 at select retailers like OVERKILL or END. and on adidas.com, at the retail price of 200$.
