The German giant ADIDAS and the Danish construction toy brand LEGO continue their bold and successful partnership. After reinterpreting the Ultra Boost DNA and ZX 8000 silhouettes (several articles available on this site), it’s the turn of the iconic Superstar to get a transformation.
The two partners offer us a classic sneaker with LEGO details and a version to build that looks very similar.
The revamped Superstar features a traditional white base, complemented by elements with LEGO brick finishes, such as the white toe box, black adidas 3 side stripes and heel tab. A classic leather tongue with black and gold branding and a white inner lining ensure the shoe’s iconic look. The whole is based on an all-white sole.
The buildable version follows the same design and retains all the iconic elements of the legendary Superstar silhouette. The attention to detail extends to the model name applied in gold alongside the black adidas 3-Stripes and the precision tongue tag.
The LEGO x adidas Superstar and buildable version will be released on July 1, 2021, at select retailers and on adidas.com. The price is set at 140$ for the classic pair and 90$ for the buildable version. Collectors beware…
