The legendary French brand LE COQ SPORTIF continues its momentum of eye-catching collaborations. After teaming up with SNEAKERS76 on a special R800, the sportswear label has teamed up with shop HANON to reinvent the famous R1000.
The Scottish store celebrates 30 years of DYNACOIL racing technology with this special pair.
For the design, HANON was inspired by the history of the French brand, which dates back to the beginning of the 20th century. Emile Camuset, the founder of LCS, ran the Romillon bar or « Bar des Amis » located in the Romilly region of France. It’s in this warm place that LE COQ SPORTIF was born.
Made in France, this HANON x LCS R1000 « Circle of Friends » is a limited premium edition. It sports a premium look and features materials in shades of blue reminiscent of traditional French worker’s clothing.
The shoe consists of a teal blue nubuck upper with bright blue nubuck overlays and others crafted in Bugatti blue Vetra fabric. The Vetra fabric comes from the legendary French workwear brand of the same name founded almost 100 years ago (1927). The look is completed with touches of red at the top eyelets and detail on the white midsole. The pair comes with 3 sets of laces, white, black and multicolored woven that symbolizes friendship and the theme of the collab. The co-branding appears embroidered on the heels, and the tongue tag features the name HANON and its logo in white, along with the words Made in France and red zig-zag stitching. The « Circle of Friends » graphic stands out on the insole and on the specially designed co-branded box. A black outsole elegantly finalizes the sneaker’s style.
The LE COQ SPORTIF LCS R1000 MIF X HANON « CIRCLE OF FRIENDS » will be released via an open raffle on the HANON shop website until October 14, 2022. The price is set at $172 (£155) and sizes range from US 7.5 to US 12. Let’s go !
