At the Spring/Summer 2022 show, the legendary French brand LACOSTE unveiled a new silhouette infused with modernity, the L003 Active Runway. The shoe merges the codes of sport and fashion and appears as an ode to the pioneering spirit of Rene Lacoste.
British R&B singer Ella Mai is the new face of the sneaker campaign. Popular in the USA, the young and talented artist perfectly embodies the values of the French brand.
The Lacoste L003 Active Runway continues the story of its big sister, the L003 Runway. It has a bold style for the avant-garde.
Its design combines tennis history and artistic creativity. Based on the knowledge and heritage of the French house, this sneaker proudly announces « before changing the game, you have to play it ».
This new model consists of a mixed upper in macro neoprene and fishnet, for breathability while elegant, and is adorned with suede reinforcements. This base is enhanced by an imposing lacing system that surrounds the foot and by lateral black inscriptions. These correspond to the LACOSTE slogan « From the court to the streets since 1933 » and the coordinates of the Lacoste headquarters in Paris and the brand’s historic factory where all new ideas emerge. Other design details include exposed foam and oversized round laces. The whole is based on a thick, structured sole that matches the color of the upper.
2 versions, orange and blue, were presented to Ella Mai’s feet, and 2 colorways, grey and neon yellow, are planned for the men’s line.
The LACOSTE L003 ACTIVE RUNWAY is released exclusively on October 5, 2022 on the French brand lacoste.com, at a price of 190€ ($186). It’s available in Europe, USA, China, Korea and Japan.
