Indiana-based American streetwear brand KITO WARES unveils a new Passion Of Christ silhouette called « Resurrection Day ». This version follows the limited edition released on December 25. Illustrating a parallel between the idolatry of brands and that of Christ, designer David Norris dares to start the discussion and create discord.
The Passion of Christ silhouette features a shape reminiscent of hyper-popular models influenced by Low skate shoes. It features a perforated toe box, a puffy mesh tongue and comfortable interior cushioning.
The « Resurrection Day » iteration consists of a grained leather upper in a color gradient from red to pale yellow. The overlays, also in leather, appear in white and feature a red blood spatter pattern. To affirm the inspiration, the side panels are adorned with a representation of Christ and a crown of thorns surrounds the bottom of the figure. At the side heel, white leather inserts are arranged in the shape of a cross to finalize the design. The whole is based on an all-white sole.
The pair will come with a matching rosary necklace and a signature box.
