The famous (and unflagging) New York designer Ronnie Fieg keeps on doing interesting projects. A few days after offering us a Kith x Knicks collection and announcing his appointment as creative director of this NBA flagship team, the Queens native unveils a new collaboration with NEW BALANCE.
Ronnie Fieg took to his Instagram account to showcase the upcoming NB collaborative sneakers, captioning it « Pistachio’s. Black Friday ».
The KITH founder brought his touch to 2 iconic models of the Boston-based brand, the 993 and the 2002R.
These 2 pairs have been reimagined with a pistachio green color scheme. A shade appreciated by Ronnie Fieg and already seen on previous collabs.
The 993 Made in USA consists of a mesh upper complemented by tonal suede overlays. The popular 2002R, meanwhile, features a color-coordinated leather and nubuck upper. Almost identical, these silhouettes are adorned by a pistachio green side N logo with white outlines and a yellowed sole that accentuates the « retro chic » look. According to the 1st pictures posted, these shoes are playing it low key when it comes to KITH branding details. However, it’s possible that the insoles are adorned with the co-branding and that it appears in a subtle way on other parts of the foot.
The KITH x New Balance 993 and 2002R « Pistachio » will be released before Thanksgiving, November 23, 2022, in stores, on the KITH app and online at kith.com. Be ready !
