The talented New York designer Ronnie Fieg has offered us a wide and beautiful choice of collaborations during 2020 and continues to please us this holiday season. The founder of the brand KITH has once again teamed up with his solid partner New Balance to rework a silhouette already revisited in May, the NB 992 (article available HERE). A pack judiciously named « Kithmas » is presented to us to celebrate the festive season.
This new collaboration is composed of 3 iterations NB 992. They consist of a mesh upper with suede and leather overlyas. The popular Dad shoe is dressed in pastel turquoise blue, burgundy, bright orange red and the unavoidable white and grey colors. Each version offers a different color mix.
We discover an iteration mainly pastel turquoise blue representing a cold winter day. A touch of different color is brought by the side N logo and some discreet grey inserts, as well as by the upper part of the tongue in bright red-orange suede.
On the second version, the light blue glacier blue only dresses the background on which the white lateral N rests. The white mesh base is enhanced by suede overlays, a tongue, laceguard and laces in burgundy. A few touches of grey and white recall the snow and the winter sky.
The last pair integrates Christmas red in a slightly shaded orange on most of the foot. The mesh and suede appear in this reworked color and the lateral N adds a touch of white, essential to match Santa’s costume. The grey color applied to the tongue and a few details refines the look.
The three iterations are adorned with coupled brandings on the tongue and the traditional 992 on the heel is replaced by the famous name KITH. The whole is based on a comfortable and thick two-tone sole, white on the front of the foot and grey on the back.
The trio KITH x New Balance 992 « Kithmas » will be released in the coming days on kith.com, the exact date has not yet been communicated. It will be necessary to be lively to hope to catch a pair. Stay tuned and good luck !
