Kasina x Nike SB Dunk Low

During the spring, mock-ups of an upcoming collaboration between the major Korean streetwear brand KASINA and the giant Nike appeared on social networks. This project presented a pack based on the very fashion silhouette, the SB Dunk Low. Today, official photos have been posted on the accounts of Korean influencers who received exclusively these first collaborative pairs. To date, two colorways have been unveiled : « Industrial Blue » and « Neptune Green ».

The shoes are dressed with a white leather base with suede overlays in either Industrial Blue or Neptune Green depending on the iteration. The side swoosh in gold suede on the blue pair and pearl grey on the green version adds a nice extra touch of color. To harmonize the design, the tongue, inner lining and wide laces appear in white. The Nike tongue logo is replaced by a Korean word that can be read phonetically as KASINA. The typography is preserved, allowing the two marks to be joined in a subtle way. As for other branding details, we find embroderies on the front and back of the shoe referring to Nike and KASINA respectively. On the heels, the inscriptions are different : the legendary Nike stands out on the blue iteration, while the names of the Korean cities Busan and Seoul adorn the green shoe. Graphic and colorful insoles and two set of laces finalize the concept. The whole is based on a white midsole combined with an outsole either black for the blue pair or semi-translucent for the green sneaker.

The Kasina x Nike SB Dunk Low « Industrial Blue » and « Neptune Green » duo will be released in fall 2020 at selected retailers and on Nike.com, for an announced price of 120€. Given the differences in details, we can think that one of the colorways has a particular release… Stay tuned !
