After having found success with its collaboration with Nike last year, the famous South Korean label KASINA finds another strong Partner : ADIDAS. This new release is based on the Campus 80s silhouette and pays tribute to the late Seoul-based graphic designer and performer Kim Jung Gi, who passed away suddenly last October at the age of 47.
This version gets a special look celebrating the legendary artist’s works.
The KASINA x ADIDAS Campus 80s consists of a yellow suede upper, contrasted by black 3-Stripes and white elements such as the tongue, inner lining and leather heel tab. The side panels are adorned with illustrations by Kim Jung Gi, including a tiger spitting out bones on the left foot. At the heel tabs, we discover the logos of the 2 brands seeming to have been scribbled in black pen. To affirm the look and ensure the tribute, the insoles are also decorated with drawings of Kim Jung Gi which are merged with the brandings of the 2 partners. The whole is based on an all off-white sole.
The pair will be delivered in a special box appearing as a work of the artist with matching tissue paper and accompanied by 3 sets of laces, yellow, black and white.
The Kasina x Kim Jung Gi x adidas Campus 80s will be released on 10 march, 2023 at selected retailers and on adidas.com. Be ready !
