KANGAROOS SPRING/SUMMER 2020

With the arrival of the good weather, the german brand Kangaroos presents its Spring/Summer 2020 collection. It’s composed of two models from the archives for the first time : the pairs “Ultralite MNT” and “Finalist OG” and two other silhouettes that have been back since last year : the “Rage MNT” and the “Shield OG”.

For the models returned since the last collection,

The “Rage MNT”.
Available in two colours : black/grey and green/blue. The pairs are made of an upper combining suede, mesh and PU. For the black and grey sneaker, there is a purple insert and for the green and blue, it’s yellow. These colour additions bring energy to the shoe, accentued by a reminder on the aglets. The whole is based on a two-tone, mottled sole, in line with the sides of the shoe and the design of the laces. Careful branding details can be seen on the tongue, lace guard, collar and insole. The pairs benefit from the brands patented sole system : Dynacoil, well known for its energy recovery, shock absorption and soft cushioning.

The second silhouette that has reappeared since the last collection, is a model that still plays today an important role in the Kangaroos running shoes’ history :

The “Shield OG”.
For Spring/Summer, the colours grey and purple have been chosen. The pair consists of a suede and mesh upper, and is based on the brands typical rubber outsole in black color and complemented by an EVA technology midsole. On this shoe, a nice contrast is brought by white colour’s parts, present on the sole, the lace guard and the laces. Also the small plastic elements give a cosy and worked mood to the pair. Branding details such as the runners’ silhouettes on the tongue or the name Roos embroidered on the heel, give the shoe a sophisticated look.

For the revival, the American brand offers a model designed for indoor sports (such as the MNT Rage), dating from the early 90s,

The “Ultralite MNT”.
The abbreviation MNT stands for the transition of the shoe from indoor to outdoor. It’s true that this pair corresponds perfectly to a lifestyle model because of its design, materials and colours chosen. The upper is in brown leather and off-white mesh. This last colour is also found on a part of the two-coloured Dynacoil technology sole, the other part being black. Purple and orange touches of colour on the shoe and laces, then the spotted insert on the heel, modernize the pair. As with the other shoes, the branding details are neat and well positioned.

The last pair that has been making a comeback since 90’s, is a sneaker that was a great success when it was released :

The “Finalist OG”.
From the upper to the outsole, the model remains identical to the original, whether the materials used : suede and mesh or technology adopted : patented Dynacoil sole of course. Only the colours have been updated to highlight this silhouette that can be described as “vintage”. Two colours are available : grey/white and grey/blue. Black touches highlight this sober colours of the two pairs, on the top of the sole and the sides of the shoe, where you will find nice branding details, as always with Kangaroos. The big tongue on which the label is sewn with the name, the brand’s acronym and Dynacoil, will seduce fans of vintage pairs.

These four pairs from Kangaroos are already available, from EU40 to EU46, in various shops such as Footshop, Glory Hole or Hanon. With its harmonious and varied models and colours, this collection promises beautiful sunny matches.
