In April 2021, professional skateboarder Kader Sylla announced he was signing with ADIDAS Skateboarding after a quick stint with NIKE. One year later, the talented athlete presented his first collaborative pair, a black Superstar ADV. Today, he comes back with a new « Purple » version.
The goofy skateboarder from California commented about this new adidas Superstar ADV : « I’m really excited about this release because it feels bigger than the last. I tried to do a color that people aren’t doing much…there aren’t too many purple shoes on the market ! »
This special version sports a near monochromatic design. It consists of a bright purple suede upper with side 3-Stripes and the other overlays in tone on tone. To complete the look, the inner lining, the iconic rubber shell toe and the sole are presented in a darker shade of purple. The whole look is enhanced by gold-tone details, such as the tongue tag, KADER name emblazoned on the quarter panel, ADIDAS heel branding, metallic dubrae adorned with the Trefoil logo, and lace aglets. An adidas branded insole with the signature of the famous pro skateboarder adds the finishing touch.
The Kader Sylla x adidas Skateboarding Superstar ADV « Purple » will be released on November 12, 2022 for $100, at selected adidas Skateboarding retailers and online at adidas.com/skateboard.
