The Los Angeles artist Joshua Vides teases an upcoming collab with the New Balance brand. For this new opus, the famous illustrator has chosen to reinterpret the 57/40 silhouette.
Having started his art during his teenage years by tagging walls, Joshua Vides now designs for world famous brands such as Fendi or BMW.
As for the collab with New Balance, for now, only one photo has been posted. Although the details are slim, we can distinguish that this collaborative pair sports a signature « cartoon » look by Joshua Vides.
The sneaker features a creamy white leather base with white details, such as the iconic sideways N logo. True to the illustrator’s style, the pair sports black outlines to accentuate the cartoon look.
The runner will be delivered in a box resembling a plywood box embellished with the words « FRAGILE ».
The Argentinean-American artist wrote a text on his Instagram account explaining that he participated from A to Z in the development of images of this collab. He wanted to be involved in all stages of creation and visuals in order to « learn new things and improve as a creative ». He added, « I get asked all the time why I don’t pay for someone else to handle certain tasks for me, but I live for all shit. »
