Jordan Zoom ’92 « PSG »

The successful partnership between Jordan Brand and the Parisian soccer club, Paris Saint-Germain, continues with a new project based on the Zoom ’92 silhouette. This collaborative pair joins the Air Jordan IV « PSG » presented in June (article available HERE) and whose launch has been postponed. The Jumpman brand has finally scheduled to release these two revisited « PSG » sneakers simultaneously in October 2020.

Like the Air Jordan 4, the Jordan Zoom ‘92 « PSG » is inspired by the 3rd jersey of the club’s 2020-21 season. However, on this sneaker with a 90s retro influence, the burgundy color referring to the flag of Qatar (the state that owns the Parisian club through Qatar Sports Investments) appears in a less contrasting way.

The shoe consists of ripstop upper in shades of grey to white with semi-transparent synthetic inserts. The grey nubuck toe box and black overlays on the front sides of the shoe affirm the worked look of the pair. The burgundy color appears on the tongue, the inner lining, the insole with the famous slogan « Ici c’est Paris » and is used to define the Swoosh and the side Jumpman. As for the Jumpman on the tongue, it’s distinguished by its black color, as well as the laces, the heel and its tab. A « Paris Saint-Germain » heel badge with the Jumpman in the center and a black « Paname » label under the ankle finalize the design. The whole is based on a high-performance Zoom technology sole in grey and black, with the Jumpman and Nike Air’s burgundy branding molded under the outsole.

The Jordan Zoom ’92 « PSG » will be released on October 10, 2020 (as will the Air Jordan IV « PSG ») at selected retailers and on Nike.com, for a suggested retail price of 150€.
