The talented American designer JOE FRESHGOODS is still in the news with a brand new collab. After having made the buzz by associating with the brand New Balance (several articles available on this site), the independent designer from Chicago signs a new collection designed with the legendary Californian label VANS.
Teased on Joe Freshgoods’ Instagram account, this new collaboration named « Everything Happens For A Reason » includes the iconic Old Skool LX model revisited.
This silhouette appears in 3 « gourmet » colorways : red/off-white, bright pink/off-white and old pink/off-white.
It consists of a canvas upper featuring the famous Vans checkerboard pattern reinterpreted for the occasion : the letters « J, F and G » of the designer’s logo are inscribed in some checks, like the letters of the « Scrabble ». To ensure the look, the toe box, laceguard, laces and heel overlay appear in suede and in red, hot pink or old pink depending on the version. The iconic Jazz side stripe is also dressed in these matching shades but comes in smooth leather. The whole is based on an off-white vulcanized sole with a yellowed line.
These pairs come with an extra set of laces and are delivered in a special co-branded box in candy pink.
