Joe Freshgoods x New Balance

Joe Freshgoods is an independent American designer from Chicago. To create his collections, he’s inspired by his city and its « flashy funky » side. He has already worked with big names in the sneaker industry, such as Converse, and now presents a collaboration with the famous Boston-based sneaker manufacturer NEW BALANCE.

After the success of the NB 992 revisited « No Emotions Are Emotions » which was released for Valentine’s Day 2020, Joe Freshgoods continues his momentum by bringing his touch to the 990v3 silhouette.

A first glimpse is given to us through the latest Sneaker Freaker magazine #45.

The retro looking runner is inspired by a personal fact of Joe dating back to the late 90s. It consists of a bright blue mesh upper with suede overlays in 2 shades of brown. The side N logo appears in pool blue and the brown laces are embellished with small patterns reminiscent of trail shoes. To complete the design, we discover a light brown leather tongue with an embossed grill pattern, as well as grass green accents on the heel clip, upper eyelets and tongue branding. The whole is based on a brown and blue Encap technology midsole with a white upper clip. A brown rubber outsole provides the final harmonious touch.

The Joe Freshgoods x New Balance is expected to be released in the coming weeks to months on newbalance.com and at select retailers. For the latest official info, stay tuned !
