The Montreal design studio JJJJOUND, which is beginning to have a place of choice in the world of sneakers, presented us in June 2020 its latest collaboration with NEW BALANCE. This project is based on the silhouette designed in 2006 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Boston-based brand, the NB 992 and is available in two colorways, one green and the other grey.
These shoes consist of an upper combining mesh, suede and leather in a shade of grey or green, depending on the iteration. Darker accents close to black can be found on the heel, inner lining and to define the lateral N logo. JJJOUND and New Balance branding details are coupled on the back of the shoe and on the tongue label. On different parts of the sneaker, we find discreet silver synthetic inserts that add cachet to the pair. The cream-coloured laces complete the retro look. The whole is based on a high-performance and comfortable white and cream midsole, combined with a black rubber outsole.
After been selling in few minutes at the end of July and beginning of August 2020, the JJJound x New Balance 992 capsule will be available on August 20, 2020 in Europe, at selected retailers such as END. and SNS via a raffle and at Concepts, Dover Street Market and Bodega shops. Be ready !
