After recently partnering with asics and Puma, Justin Saunders, founder of the design studio JJJJOUND teases a new collaboration with the famous sportswear brand NEW BALANCE. A special NB 991 will follow the last NB 990v3 in « Brown » colorway released last May.
True to the style of JJJOUND, this new collaborative pair « Made in England » has a minimalist and elegant design.
The color palette used is reminiscent of the special edition JJJJOUND x NB 990v3 from 2018 and JJJJOUND x NB992 from 2020.
The shoe is dressed in various earth tones. It consists of a mesh upper with matching suede overlays. The small inserts on the toe box and those under the ankle appear in the darkest earth tone. To complete the look, the iconic side N logo is featured in black, as is the inner lining, the eye on the heel housing the grey JJJJOUND logo and the embroidered New Balance 991 branding on the tongue. The tongue tag and heel tab are covered in reflective 3M to add character to the pair and enhance the New Balance heritage. The whole is based on a yellowed midsole and a black and grey rubber outsole.
The JJJJound x New Balance 991 is expected to be released during December 2022, at select retailers and on the Montreal design studio’s website jjjjound.com. For the latest official news, stay tuned !
