Building on their successes, Canadian design studio JJJJOUND and Boston-based outfitter NEW BALANCE continue their collaboration and unveil a new version of the famous 990v3 silhouette. After the inaugural 2018 version and the « Olive » iteration released at the end of February (article available HERE), a 3rd variation in shades of brown has just been teased.
This new special 990v3 is dressed in earthy brown tones, in darker shades than the 1st collab of 2018. For those who don’t know yet : highly sought after, the very first JJJJOUND x NB 990v3 was a huge hit when it was released. It currently commands a price tag in excess of $3,000 on resale markets.
The version teased today features a brown mesh upper with matching suede overlays and leather overlays in a brown near-black hue. To harmonize the design, this color also dresses the inner lining, the tongue, the laces and the sole. It’s also found at the edges of the iconic N logo side reflective. Although it’s not visible on the only photo released by Justin Saunders’ team, the branding JJJJOUND could be affixed to the heel tab alongside the logo NB, and on the insole. To be confirmed…
