Montreal design studio JJJJOUND unveils a new eye-catching collaboration. After teasing a revisited New Balance 990v3 (article available HERE), Justin Saunders’ label is once again partnering with DANNER to offer us stylish and high quality boots.
Justin Saunders brought his touch to 2 of the most popular silhouettes of the American brand DANNER, the « Feather Light » and the « Mountain Light ».
Founded in 1932 in the United States by Charles Danner, DANNER began as a company specializing in work shoes. Then the company offered state-of-the-art boots for the general public, designed by hand from carefully selected materials. All Danner shoes are made in the USA, in the company’s historic factory in Portland, Oregon. They’re ultra-durable and perfect for hiking and other outdoor activities.
The Feather Light and Mountain Light boots have been revisited in the minimalist style of JJJJOUND.
Both feature an iconic brown suede base, a waterproof GORE-TEX inner membrane and a black Vibram outsole for comfort, grip and functionality. With the JJJJOUND touch, these boots sport a stylish on-trend look, ensured by olive green elements such as the round laces on the Mountain Light silhouette, and the inserts on the Feather Light upper. To complete the aesthetic, the eyelets are presented in bronze metal and the JJJJOUND branding is engraved on the side heel. Danner branding keeps its traditional place on the tongue. For the record, DANNER was the first brand to use a breathable-waterproof membrane in a pair of shoes.
The JJJJOUND x Danner Feather Light & Mountain Light are released on December 9, 2021 exclusively on Justin Saunders’ brand website jjjjound.com, priced at $400 per pair. There are still a few sizes left, don’t sleep !
