The famous Quebec design studio, JJJJOUND, teases a new eye-catching collab. After having reworked cult silhouettes from New Balance, asics, adidas or more recently Puma, Justin Saunders unveils a new reinterpretation of the famous BAPE STA.
JJJJOUND could start the year 2023 as it started 2022, by partnering with the iconic Japanese brand BAPE.
Just like the collaborative BAPE STA released in last February, this new version sports a simple and timeless look. According to the only photo posted on the Montreal-based company’s Instagram account, the sneaker consists of a white leather upper with matching overlays and perforations on the toe box. This base is contrasted by a deep navy, near black ‘shooting star’ logo. The ‘BAPE STA’ tongue branding and inner lining are dressed in black to match the look. Although not visible at the moment, we can assume that the JJJJOUND branding adorns the navy blue heel tab. Silver metal top eyelets and white laces complete the design. The whole is based on a white midsole coupled with a navy outsole that elegantly finalizes the retro-chic look of this collaborative pair.
The JJJJound x BAPE STA 2023 will be released on January 17th 2023 at a price of $230 on jjjjound.com, for the Spring Summer 2023 collection as captioned on Instagram. Be ready !
