A few days after the release of the exclusive New Balance 990v3 in Montreal, Justin Saunders continues his streak of successful collaborations. The founder of JJJJOUND has reunited with the German giant ADIDAS to bring his signature touch to a cult silhouette : the Samba.
This iconic model reinterpreted by the talented Canadian designer features an eye-catching design that should appeal to a large number of sneakerheads.
The shoe is offered in 2 colorways, black / white and beige / brown.
The first one remains close to an OG colorway, with its black leather base enhanced by white 3-Stripes and heel tab. To affirm the look, the mudguard appears in black suede and the inner lining consists of premium light brown leather. As for branding details, JJJJound adorns the heel and the insole should be co-branded. A traditional gum sole adds the finishing touch to the design.
The 2nd version opts for a more customized and still stylish earthy look. It consists of a beige hairy suede upper, complemented by side 3-Stripes and a classic brown suede heel tab. The tongue and laces keep the design consistent. Like the black/white leather version, this iteration benefits from a traditional gum rubber sole.
The JJJJound x adidas Samba duo will be released in the coming months, on the Canadian design studio’s website jjjjound.com and likely on ADIDAS’ CONFIRMED app. We’ll be keeping a close eye on Justin Saunders’ social media channels to keep you updated with the latest official details. Stay tuned !
