Three years after the announcement of the partnership between Jerry Lorenzo and adidas, the 1st Fear of God Athletics collection has been released. This 1st official collab combines the luxurious streetwear universe of the talented American designer with the athletic heritage of the cult German sports brand.
The collection comprises 36 items : 2 pairs of shoes, a pair of slides and an assortment of clothing.
These products boast finely crafted cuts, a sleek luxury style and an avant-garde, even futuristic, approach.
On the footwear side, the collection includes a pair of high-top basketball sneakers, a low-top 86 and a special version of the adilette.
The Fear of God Athletics Basketball ‘Carbon’ features a design that straddles the line between fashion and sport, echoing Fear of God’s iconic style codes. It consists of a premium black knit upper with neoprene collar, buckled ankle elastic and seamless TPU overlays. The cult adidas 3-Stripes appear in the molded cage and are inspired by the adidas Predator cleat archive. As for the adidas branding details, the logo is embossed on the toe cap and the German brand’s name stands out prominently on the insole. The whole is based on a Lightstrike midsole for exceptional comfort and a sculpted outsole in translucent white rubber. A black bar embossed with the Fear of God logo can be found at the rear of the outsole, at heel level.
The Fear of God Athletics 86 ‘Clay’ is a reinvention of the iconic adidas Rivalry Low 86′. It consists of a modernized last, assured by a beige premium suede upper and matching overlays, as well as a padded tongue. The shoe features the legendary tonal 3-Stripes on the sides and an off-white molded cupsole sole for added comfort. To complete the look, the adidas Trefoil logo is engraved on the heel patch and the FoG logo appears in relief on the signature black band at heel level.
The white Adilette Fear of God Athletics slide features a slim silhouette, contrast stitching and a reworked footbed for added stability and better posture. The signature adidas 3-Stripes in black adorn the slimmed-down forefoot strap. The collab is underscored by the Fear of God logo embossed on the sole.
On the apparel side, the collection includes coats, hoodies and pants in thick fleece, sueded fleece and other Hike fabrics; Goalie jerseys, casual pants, performance t-shirts, 3/4 thick mock neck t-shirts, half-zip fleece tops, stretch canvas running hoodies and matching short shorts. There are also hooded jumpsuits, leggings, stand-up collar crop tops, zipped fleece jackets and ponchos in suede fleece, as well as turtlenecks and shorts also in suede fleece. The collection is finalised by differents styles of bags.
