Legendary workwear brand DICKIES maintains its place among the leaders by offering attractive collections and exclusive collabs (various articles available on this site). After teaming up with Ronnie Sandoval last November, DICKIES’ skateboarding line has been enriched by a new collaboration with Jake Hayes.
Jake Hayes is an Australian professional skateboarder living in Los Angeles known for having won several titles including the world record for the highest ollie. A member of Team Dickies Skate, he worked with the iconic brand to create a capsule collection inspired by his skateboarding style and his other loves : 1990s streetwear, hip hop and New York culture.
The talented skateboarder presents a collection that combines his roots, his appreciation for his new L.A. community, his passions and his love for classic DICKIES pieces. This capsule is also inclusive for everyone and serves as a reminder that skateboarding is universal.
Jake Hayes said : “It was important to me that everyone who wears this collection feels comfortable and looks the way they want to look. Every piece in this collection, whether you wear it together or separately, can go with anything and is available for everyone.”
With a 90’s vibe, the pieces in this signature capsule feature loose, casual pairings, vintage washes and retro-inspired graphics.
Notably, we discover a classic piece reimagined by the pro skateboarder : a pair of Dickies overalls has been transformed into a faded black or off-white Duck Pant. The capsule also includes blue jeans, brown or navy corduroy shorts, a red hoodie, a grey Graphic Crewneck, a dark green faded crewneck, a dark green polo shirt with a wide off-white stripe and a navy/dark green striped short-sleeve tee with white outlines.
The majority of his pieces feature the pro skateboarder’s signature in addition to the DICKIES branding.
