Colombian megastar J BALVIN teases a new collaboration with Jordan Brand. After the success of the AJ1 collaborative released almost a year ago (article available HERE), the two partners have teamed up for the 2nd time to reinterpret the Air Jordan 2.
The silhouette originally released in 1986, has been experiencing a resurgence of interest recently. It’s currently being redesigned by the famous Los Angeles brand UNION, as well as by the famous designer Virgil Abloh through his label OFF-WHITE (articles available on this site).
As with the first collaboration with Jordan Brand released in November 2020, J BALVIN has certainly let his creativity run free to redesign this shoe.
To date, only a photo has been released on the networks of the artist. However, it reveals some important details of this AJ 2 special. The sneaker features a reworked quilted style upper and is adorned with Glow-in-the-Dark elements, such as the new Jumpman « AIR » tongue logo and rubber outsole.
The pair is expected to come in family sizes.
The J Balvin x Air Jordan 2 will be released in the coming months, possibly in correlation with the pop/reggaeton singer’s 2022 tour that will kick off in April. We’ll be sure to keep you posted on the official details, stay tuned !
