The Japanese sportswear brand ASICS continues to unveil very interesting collabs during this summer 2022. While the shop NAKED Copenhagen is about to release its revisited GEL-1130 (article available HERE), the first images of a GEL-Kayano 14 remodeled by Ice Studios have just surfaced.
Ice Studios is a New York based label founded by photographer Renell Medrano and by Jess Moloney. This creative community of artists is based in New York and London. Ice studios is also a platform that offers original and exclusive clothing for the whole family.
For its collaboration with ASICS, ICE STUDIOS chose to bring its touch to the silhouette of the famous GEL-Kayano 14. A model already appreciated by big names in streetwear and which has been reinvented last year by Angelo Baque.
This running shoe was first launched in 2008 and was reintroduced in 2020. Its vintage « retro running » look has made it very trendy.
The reimagined version by ICE STUDIOS is mostly blue.
It consists of a breathable icy blue mesh upper with leather overlays in lighter or darker shades of the main hue. To complete the look, the pair sports bright yellow details, such as ICE STUDIOS branding on the side heel and the back of the white midsole. The whole is based on a baby blue rubber outsole that harmoniously finalizes the design.
The first pairs of this collaborative sneaker were sent a few days ago to friends and family of ICE STUDIOS.
