While collaborations are multiplying on the famous Forum Low silhouette (several articles available on this site), ADIDAS also uses this iconic sneaker to prepare for the holidays. For this new version, the brand with the 3 stripes is associated with the famous Christmas movie of 1990, « Home Alone ».
The bball from the archives is adorned with plenty of details reminiscent of the iconic classic film.
It’s dressed in a white and red color palette that makes it similar to the sneakers worn by the movie’s famous resourceful preteen : Kevin McCallister (played by young Macaulay Culkin). The white leather base is complemented by red accents, including the 3-Stripes, the inner lining and the movie’s house illustration on the side heel. The look is accentuated by dark marks reminiscent of burn marks and blade marks evoking the confrontations between the 2 wacky burglars, Harry and Marv, and Kevin to defend the family home. The 2 criminals appear on 2 sets of graphic insoles. The 3rd set shows Kevin’s « action plans » scribbled in pencil. Other details referencing the movie stand out on the heel with circular « M » badge corresponding to the door handles of the McCallister mansion and tongue tags turned into a doormat with the Home Alone branding. To reference the film and honor the era of its release, the pair comes with an assortment of pins, a Home Alone hangtag and a sticker. The whole is based on a white midsole coupled with a red outsole.
The Home alone x adidas Forum Low will be released this 2021 holiday season at select retailers and adidas.com for 110$.
