Famous German craftsman and designer Hikmet Sugoer regularly brings us exclusive high quality sneakers through his brand SONRA. After teaming up with the SpongeBob franchise late last month, Hikmet unveils a stylish collaboration with Japanese brand MIZUNO based on the CONTENDER silhouette.
Named « Snowdrop », this special version is inspired by the Galanthus flower (Snowdrop) which is known for its delicate beauty and early flowering in spring. Its pretty little white flowers contrast with the harsh winter landscape. They appear as a beacon of light, a guarantee of better days and optimism for the rest of the year. Given its characteristics, the snowdrop is a symbol of hope and renewal.
This collaborative pair is also important to Hikmet for another Reason : it will be released on his 50th birthday, a great gift!
Sporting a sleek design, the Hikmet Sugoer X Mizuno Contender « Snowdrop » is dressed in high-end materials, an essential fact for the German sneaker designer.
This special iteration consists of a white breathable mesh upper at the toe box and heel, and green on the panels. This base is complemented by overlays on the midfoot in smooth green suede and a mudguard surrounding the bottom of the foot in neutral grey hairy suede. To ensure the look, the heel appears in smooth beige suede with large side perforations and the inner lining in smooth white leather. The collab is simply affirmed by the light pink SONRA logo subtly engraved on the side of the grey suede tongue. A smooth suede side Run Bird in tone on tone with the quarter panel and a co-branded green leather insole harmoniously finalize the design. The whole is based on a comfortable white midsole with advanced cushioning and a black rubber outsole.
The pair will be delivered in a special box and comes with 4 sets of laces : 2 white with MIZUNO branded grey or pink aglets, 1 green and 1 light pink.
