HENDER SCHEME x CLARKS Desert Boot

The legendary British brand CLARKS continues to present us with eye-catching collaborations at the end of 2021. While the WALLABEE silhouette has been the most reinterpreted over the last few months, notably by SUPREME, atmos and END. (articles available on this site), the Japanese label HENDER SCHEME brings its touch to the iconic Desert Boot.

HENDER SCHEME is a Japanese footwear and accessories brand founded by designer Ryo Kashiwazaki. It became known with the « Homage » collection, which revisited classic sneaker models in a « handmade » version inspired by traditional shoemaking methods. Each silhouette combines modern looks with historic craftsmanship.

Dubbed the « Desert Seam », the reinterpreted Desert Boot features what HENDER SCHEME calls the « Peace Tip » : a stitched line across the toe area that takes on the appearance of the « Peace and Love » symbol. Available in two elegant and timeless colorways, black or sand, the shoe features this signature pattern on the toe box and stitching all around the foot that accentuates the pair’s modern inspiration. It’s made in Portugal using the finest cow leather and features a legendary crepe sole. The latter appears in its original yellowed color for the sand version and dyed black for the black pair. To complete the design, the boots are adorned with a double hangtag and waxed laces matching the upper.

The HENDER SCHEME x CLARKS Desert Boot in two colorways will be released on December 28, 2021 via a raffle set up on the Tokyo-based brand’s website henderscheme.com, priced at 278$ (31,900¥) and sizes ranging from UK 6 to UK 10.5.
